We apologize: Our online ballot has disappeared! We expect to get it back up within the hour. We have installed an automated ballot which allows you to click on a choice and view the results. Anyone who posts a choice as Bonnie has will need to come back and vote on the ballot for their vote to count. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  4. This is going to be a very every difficult election. We need to pray the perfect will of God for each office. It is a critical time in our country.

  5. Stan Treleaven says:

    “Because he is well known”.
That’s a reason to vote for someone?
What would this ‘well known’ person actually DO after we recognize his ‘Well known’ness’?
Republicans are in the position they are in electorally, because they did not DO what they were elected to do last time. They were well known all right but lacking in principles. Actually they are ‘better known’ now since they messed up.
For example how can one be ‘pro-life’ whan they are only pro-life for 78% of a pregnancy. Our Founding Fathers went to war for ‘Life’Liberty and Property’ Life comes first then everything else.
Doctors don’t get away with telling a woman she is 78% pregnant.
Let’s get real, we need to get back to the basic principles our nation was based upon and work like blazes to make our less known candidate sucessful, not because he’s ‘less known’ but because he mirrors our values.
I’m starting now! I’m voting for Bob Marshall whether he is ‘well known’ or not. He stands for the values we consider Judeo-Christian.
If we are not going to vote for the candidate who will fight for the issues we believe in, simply because someone else is ‘better known’ than our man, then we the electorate, are passing on to our chilren the hard choices we are not willing to make.
We cannot change what we will not confront!!

  6. Carol Printz says:

Bob Marshall is a tried & true GOP gentleman of the highest integrity & moral character. Equally important, Himself is 100% Culture of Life in every respect. The gentleman is a legendary GOP Hero. Wish we could vote Himself in as the next President of the United States!

  7. Victoria DeLacy says:

Bob Marshall is both well known and better qulified due to having worked through 16 years as a Virginia legislator. Nobody fights harder than Bob for our conservative values from the sanctity of human life to the preservation of traditional marriage and fighting tax hikes.

  8. Diane Winston says:

Bob Marshall is not afraid to stand firm for his (and our) conservative principles. I believe he will be a formidable foe for Mark Warner. Conservative Republicans are longing for someone willing to really put our ideas into practice. We’ve had too much compromise with the liberal side of the aisle.

  9. Susan Edwards says:

We need a wise, true conservative, with a knowledge of American history, the role of government and the role of individuals. He is a man of integrity who is in the race to represent Virginia for the good of our culture and the legacy we will leave to future generations. Our nation needs statesmen like Bob Marshall and not just another politician.
Pray for him and others would are willing to serve in boldness of founding convictions.

  10. POTUS No.4 says:

Jim Gilmore has won two statewide elections and two elections in one of the state’s most populous counties. He signed every pro-life piece of legislation sent to him when he was governor. As attorney general, he also fought for Christian Conservative items, such as religious liberty in public schools, by establishing guidlines by which religious references woudl be acceptable. He fought, at great loss of politcal capital, for the life of Hugh Finn. He gave Virginians the largest tax cut in history. He also intervened, also at great political cost, for conservatives in GOP primaries against RINOs. He never backed down to the Saslaw’s of the world. He took on Chichester and Potts. I could go on. His list of promises made and promises kept and turning consrvative ideas into action is rarely seen in elected officials.

The point is, some of you folks have short memories. Jim Gilmore is a committed conservative. He will vote to confirm strict constructionist judges. He will vote against funding for abortion. (Besides that, there only are a few things a senator can do to affect the life issue.) Most of the battles on the life issue are in the state legislatures with judicial oversight as we saw in the partial birth ruling by the 4th circuit. Gilmore has national security credentials that will make Warner look like a H.S. geography student in a debate. He’s a complete and very accomplished candidate.

To be frank, many in the Marshall camp have a lot to be ashamed of. They are spewing more negative attacks on Jim Gilmore than on Mark Warner. Gilmore has not attacked Marshall. Marshall’s people attack Gilmore as if he’s a liberal — or worse. Gilmore was the most conservative governor in modern Virginia history. Furthermore, many Marshall supporters are hypocrites: They applauded Gilmore when he won from the central committee a convention nominating contest which cut Tom Davis out of the picture only to turn around and draft Marshall into the race.

  11. Laura Uzzell Logie says:

POTUS No. 4 gave an excellent response. Gilmore has not attacked Marshall and is concentrating on Mark Warner. Gilmore has been attacked by the Marshall campaign for not being pro life for the first 8 weeks of life. He signed every pro life legislation that was sent to him as Governor. As Senator he would also support every pro life bill. He would support a Supreme Court Judge who interprets the constitution with a Conservative outlook. That judge would overturn Roe Vs. Wade. Gilmore has been Attorney General and Governor so he has won in 2 state wide elections. He is highly intelligent and well equipped to be our next Senator. He is a Conservative Republican and definitely not a moderate.

  12. Margie Smith says:

As a conservative voter, I appreciate the comments about both Jim Gilmore and Bob Marshall. They both sound like good candidates. So now I need to know more so I can decide who is the better candidate and the most likely to defeat Mark Warner.

I’m backing Governor Jim Gilmore because he has a documented record of winning important and tangible results for pro-family Virginians. As governor, Gilmore secured the passage of Virginia’s partial-birth abortion ban and a waiting period. On both the state and national stage, Gilmore has led the fight against the burdonsome taxes that rob families of their spending choices. Virginians pay lower personal property taxes today on their vehicles because of Jim Gilmore’s dogged and proven leadership. Anyone who purchases an item over the Internet should thank Gilmore for his unmovable stand in opposition to new taxes on products bought online. He used his chairmanship of a commission that was formed largely for the purpose of legitimizing the concept of online taxes to guarantee that the Congressional moritorium on Internet taxation would be extended. Finally, pro-family issues and social policy are vitally important, but a candidate cannot win a statewide race by focusing on only one set of issues. Jim Gilmore will continue to fight successfully for traditional values and a common sense pro-family agenda (pro-life, pro- traditional marriage, pro-religious freedom), but he has the capactiy to trump Mark Warner in that high profile policy area where Warner is glaringly deficient, national security. Jim Gilmore’s anti-terrorism experience and credentials are an undeniable advantage in this post-9/11 political environment. He chaired the Terrorism Commission that bares his name. This commission predicted that a 9/11-type attack was likely several months before it occurred. Gilmore led Virginia in bolstering its homeland security capabilities in the aftermath of the horrible attacks on Virginia soil. Gilmore’s military experience enables him to have a direct and personal perspective that, today, increasingly fewer candidates for public office have on the challenges that our forces confront overseas on a daily basis. He’s provent, tested, tough, and ready. And, Jim Gilmore keeps his promises and honors his committments even when political trends and polls argue in favor of easy compromises. Jim Gilmore is the right candidate at the right time to stand up for our values and our futures in the US Senate.

Amen brother!!! Ted, you gave an excellent endorsement of Jim Gilmore. I have known Jim Gilmore since College YRs. He has done more for the pro-life movement than any Governor we have had. He will support our values at the National level when he is our Senator. He will support a judge who will vote to overturn Roe v. Wade. He will keep our borders secure. He will help get oil from the U.S. so our gasoline prices will go down. He is a true Conservative Republican and I heartily endorse Jim Gilmore for U.S. Senate.
