  1. Garrett Moewe says:

    Mr. Bolling,

What is your position on the marriage amendment? Also, do you think marriage is a federal issue or a state issue?

  2. Garrett Moewe says:

Can you talk about what you did during your time as a Virginia State Senator and Lt. Governor to advance the ideals and principles of social conservatism and the Family Foundation?

  3. joe frye says:

if 85% of us citizens profess christian faith then why do the
15% of everyone else including atheists get to dictate our
moral beliefs to us ? for instance, we have had 6 state police
chaplains resign because they can no longer pray in Jesus name.
the house passed the bill but it was defeated last week by the
senate thanks to a minority of crybabies. they need to go to
iran and tell those people they can no longer pray to allah and
see what kind of response they get there.

  4. Stephen Tyndall says:

    Mr. Bolling,

What is your position on reducing the per diem for the Delegates and Senators?

  5. Hello Lt.Governor Bolling
Thanks for all of your great work ,presiding over the State Senate and in your office. We would also like to thank you for your working with us in Petersburg, Va.Gangs and drugs and crime have increased this year greatly. It would be great when your schedule would allow to visit the City Officals and the Leaders of this City again. Is there any additional work your office is involved in this year to help in these areas and our at risk children?

  6. Conservative Voter says:

    Lt. Governor Bolling,

What do you consider to the be the hallmark of your tenure as Lt Governor?

  7. Doug Stewart says:

What is your position regarding Virginia’s responsibility and authority under the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, particularly with regard to a non-Federal-government-controlled militia?

  8. Carnes Knight says:

Lt. Gov. Bolling: At the beginning of the budget process, many conservatives in the GA said the revenue short fall was an opportunity to make structural changes to the budget — and the way Virginia spends tax money — to get the government out of areas it should not be in. Was that accomplished with this budget or did the federal “porkulous” money bail us out and delay making these needed changes? Would you rate the budget just passed on a scale of 1-10 and explain why? Thank you very much for your service to Virginia.

  9. Ted Brown says:

Why didn’t Senate Republicans back Senator Cuccinelli’s budget proposal to ban funding for the pro-abortion group Planned Parenthood? Had Senate Republicans adopted a unified position in support of the bill, they could have joined with Senator Colgan, a pro-life Democrat, to reach the critical 20 votes that would have allowed you to cast the tie breaking vote in favor of the measure.

  10. Al Aitken says:

Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling: Please comment on the House Privileges and Elections Committee’s failure to report out HJ709, the constitutional amendment reforming Virginia’s capricious and arbitrary “current market value” real estate property tax system to a fair and straight-forward property tax system based on “acquisition value”…a reform of the real estate tax system that would ensure a minimum 1% annual increase in real estate tax revenue and likely a much larger annual increase in real estate tax revenue due to the acquisition value nature of the HJ709 (California has seen a 10% annual increase in real estate tax revenue since Prop. 13 was passed).

Not a single member of the House P&E Committee’s Constitutional subcommittee seconded Del. Frederick’s motion to consider HJ709…not even the Republicans on that subcommittee.

  12. Jamie Radtke says:

During this upcoming election cycle, what will be the solutions that are put forth by you and Bob McDonnell on transportation? How will it be different and similar to the 2007 HB3202?

  13. Bethany Harrison says:

Why won’t the senate pass a simple bill to require abortion centers to a have a license, submit to one annual inspection and have life saving equipment on site? Abortion is a medical procedure, is it not? If pro-choice senators are so interested in saving the life of the mother, why wouldn’t they want bare minimum medical standards in place that apply to most every other medical facility?

  14. conservative virginian says:

Thank you Lt. Bolling for your committed service to uphold conservative principles in the General Assembly. This is my question. Delegate Tom Rust, Patron of H.B.2021, impoundment of motor vehicle for driving without an operator’s license, was sent to a special subcommittee from the Courts of Justice committee. This special subcommittee had two members! One of the two members made a motion and the other one did not second that motion, therefore, causing the bill to be killed. How can 2 senators represent the entire state? How is this a democratic process?

  15. Melvin Adams says:

Lt. Governor Bolling, Thank you for your service to our state! My question: Because of the value of our children and with the significant budget shortfalls in the state and the huge challenges of state funded education, what additional incentives should be offered to citizens and businesses who help to privately fund either private and public education in VA? What action would be required to make such incentives future policy?

  17. Nick Howard says:

    Lt. Gov. Bolling,

Thanks for taking time to do this. In a recent email you mentioned the optimistic growth figures being used for the budget. Is there anything that can be done to keep this from happening again in the future? It seems that every year someone has their rose colored glasses on during forecasting and the next year we end up with a crises. Perhaps we need a taxpayer bill of rights?
