See for yourself. From Saturday’s Democrat gubernatorial debate in Williamsburg:
Senator Creigh Deeds apologizes for voting for the Marriage Amendment in the Virginia Senate, former Delegate Brian Moran proudly fights for same-sex marriage and implies conservatives are not for equal rights, and Terry McAuliffe says get over it!

I have a problem with all of the Democratic nominees because same sex marriage is such a “hot” issue and they are not euipped to handle it properly. I believe that same sex marriage represents homosexuality and our Heavenly Father has stated that “homosexuality is an abomination in his sight.” To tamper with or try to change his commandments to please homosexuals will bring about much chaos in this State as well as the United States.
Mr. Deeds said that States should not be involved in marriages in the first place. Then I have two questions for him, (1) Why do individuals have to pay the State for a marriage license and (2) Why does the person who is officiating at the marriage ceremony say at the end, “By the power invested in me by the State of Virginia, I now pronounce you MAN and WIFE? Also I would like to emphasize that the person does not say, I now pronounce you WIFE and WIFE or MAN and MAN.
I really feel that we need to have more God-fearing (reverent)people running for and holding offices in these United States. I hope these Democratic candidates will remember the story of Sodom and Gomorrah because homosexuality was the reason for this city’s destruction.
[...] If you think that’s a twist, earlier this year, in an effort to get as far to the left as possible to win the Democrat nomination, he plain said the Marriage Amendment was a bad idea. He said it was the worst vote he ever cast an… [...]
[...] Not surprisingly, in all the fuss over “the thesis” is the complete inattention given to Democrat gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds’ flip flops on social issues. He’s says he’s not for abortion, but calls opposition to partial-birth abortion “extreme;” he was against “special rights” for homosexuals (his words in his own campaign ad), and now says anything but special rights for homosexuals is somehow discriminatory; and he voted for the Marriage Amendment twice in the General Assembly to place it before the voters, but now wants it repealed.
