Hundreds of Virginians rallied today on the grounds of the state capitol in support of education freedom. The group was addressed by Governor Bob McDonnell, Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, Senator Mark Obenshain, Delegate Jimmie Massie, and school choice advocates Alberta Wilson and former DC councilman Kevin Chavous. The rally was emceed by Richmond WRVA morning radio personality Jimmie Barrett.
The message was clear: now is the time for school choice in Virginia!

Legislation that would provide a tax credit for donations to scholarship programs is awaiting hearings in both the House and Senate, just a week before “crossover.” The House legislation, HB 321, patroned by Delegate Massie is now scheduled for hearing this Friday morning in a House Finance subcommittee.
