Action Alert: Getting out the vote

Victoria Cobb, President
Tuesday, October 30, 2007

One week from today Virginians will go to the polls to decide the makeup of the next General Assembly. At this point, many analysts believe that Republicans could lose their majority in the Senate, and barely hold on in the House. Regardless of party politics, the analysis shows the likelihood of significant change in the direction of Virginia after November 6.

At The Family Foundation, we cannot endorse any party or candidate, and we don't. We do, however, encourage every Virginian that is registered to vote to take advantage of the privilege and responsibility that we have and vote on Tuesday. We also encourage every Virginian to vote their values.

The Family Foundation is highly restricted by the IRS in regard to elections. The Family Foundation Action was created so that more voter education materials could be produced, ensuring that Virginians are aware about how members of the General Assembly vote on pro-family issues (Report Card), and where candidates stand on important issues (Voter Guides).

All are available on the TFF Action website.

The Family Foundation Action has also produced a flyer/church bulletin insert that can be distributed Sunday, encouraging pro-family Virginians to vote their values on Tuesday. The Family Foundation agenda can only see success if the people of Virginia elect those candidates that share our values.

Please ask your pastor/church leader to distribute the bulletin insert this Sunday, November 4. The insert is available on the TFF Action website.
