Trans Activists Target VA Sports Policy – Hold the Line

Yesterday, we alerted you to a petition for the Virginia Board of Health to proceed with rulemaking to protect fairness and safety in female sports. Today, another opportunity—an urgent need—has arisen.

This time, it pertains to the Virginia High School League (VHSL) revised polices regarding protecting girls sports. Back in February, VHSL took a strong stand during a special meeting by voting to limit girls’ sports to biological females only, conforming with President Trump’s executive order.

During its May 7th meeting (tomorrow), VHSL is scheduled to finalize that vote through a routine consent agenda item. This step should be noncontroversial. But radical activists are working overtime to pressure the VHSL to reverse course. We can’t let that happen!

There are two ways we can help make sure VHSL stands strong:

Email members of the Executive Committee. Their email addresses can be found HERE. Here is a sample template you can send:

Dear Members of the VHSL Executive Committee,

Thank you for your vote in February to align with President Trump’s executive order, the NCAA’s stance, and the overwhelming concerns of female athletes and families across Virginia. I urge you to stay strong and ratify that policy as planned during your May 7th meeting. Our daughters deserve a level playing field. Please don’t waver.”

If you are in the area, attend to show support in-person tomorrow, May 7th, in Charlottesville. The meeting will take place at 9:00 AM at the Bolick Center (500 College Drive, Charlottesville, Virginia 22902).

As we’ve said before, allowing biological males to compete against girls robs female athletes of titles, scholarships, safety, and the opportunity to play, undermining everything Title IX was meant to protect. That’s why the majority of Virginians and leaders like Governor Youngkin support this commonsense decision.  In fact, if the VHSL follows through with ratifying these new policies, it would align with overwhelming public opinion for protecting female sports.

Let the VHSL know you support their February vote. Tell them to stand firm and ratify the policy as planned.
