Meet Angelo Soto!

Meet Angelo Soto! Angelo has joined our team as one of our two Family Foundation Action interns. We are excited to have him!

Angelo was born and raised in the Great Lake State with nine siblings, and he says his best memories are from family road tips. His favorite memory is from attending Alive Fest, a massive Christian concert, with his mother and sister, and he specifically remembers feeling God’s presence there during the powerful prayer and worship.

Angelo furthered his education at Eastern University in Pennsylvania, where he studied political science and business administration, and he minored in public policy, Spanish, anthropology, and missiology, as a Campolo Scholar. Angelo has a heart for missions and has traveled far and wide on mission trips from Belize to Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Angelo’s extensive political involvement began at Eastern, where he ran for student government his junior year and served as the senate secretary, helping create a mask-optional policy. In addition, Angelo has worked in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he played a key part in Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness. He has worked as a social media manager, canvasser, researcher, and communications director for several candidates.  He has researched legislative issues for CPAC and worked for the Heritage Foundation within their Young Leaders Program. During his time at Heritage, he wrote an op-ed for the Daily Signal.

Angelo was led to The Family Foundation Action after meeting TFF Action’s State Director Jessi Blakely at a Heritage Foundation event in April. Angelo believes door knocking and phone banking are vital to a campaign and election. He enjoys the close-knit community he has found and likes spending time with the other interns forming friendships and memories that he’ll remember long after this summer.

God has opened several doors for Angelo, whether it be in government or community, and he has seen God’s hand working from the very beginning of his life. Angelo accepted Christ at eight years old, and his faith in Christ was the rock that helped him through high school. Perhaps the best piece of advice he has ever received came from his mother. She told Angelo to remember that everything you do is for Christ. This advice has stuck with Angelo ever since, and he now strives every day to keep his eyes set on the Lord and remember God directs his paths.

In the future, Angelo wants to serve in the White House with the next conservative administration or return to his home state of Michigan and run for an office. He wants to work specifically in education policy to help better our school systems and prevent the attack on children from harmful woke ideologies. Whatever he does and wherever the Lord leads, Christ will always be front and center of his life. For now, The Family Foundation is so blessed to have Angelo for the summer, and we cannot wait to see how the Lord uses him to be a light in the culture.
