The Family Foundation Action’s New Executive Director!

I am excited to announce that under my leadership, Bruce Schlesman is the new executive director of The Family Foundation Action. As TFFA is maturing, we needed someone who wakes up every morning with their sole attention on growing voter engagement. Bruce is responsible for ensuring Virginia voters are informed about where candidates for public office stand on our issues and motivating voters to support our values at the ballot box. The Family Foundation Action has knocked hundreds of thousands of doors and influenced hundreds of thousands of voters across the Commonwealth. We are delighted that Bruce is taking on this role to expand Action’s operations in Virginia.

The son of a pastor, Bruce grew up in Richmond, VA, and in the church. Ministry, faith, and missions have been central to his life since childhood.

In 2020, Bruce partnered with an established political fundraiser to create the fundraising firm Red Fox Strategies LLC. He raised several million dollars for several political campaigns and non-profits from 2020 to 2022.

Bruce personally handled over 50 clients including Chuck Smith for AG, Joe Kent, Delegate Mike Cherry, and Rep. Bob Good.

As CEO of Red Fox, he doubled the business in the first year.

Beyond his fundraising firm, Bruce brings a wealth of campaign and non-profit experience. He got his start as a field staffer with Dave Brat and Trump in 2016, worked for Ed Gillespie’s gubernatorial campaign, and managed John McGuire’s Delegate race in 2019. He also worked on the communications team for Judicial Watch, including helping manage the press, booking interviews with national outlets, running their social media accounts, and hosting their digital TV channel “Inside Judicial Watch.”

Bruce attended Christopher Newport University, where he was part of the President’s Leadership Program and ran cross country and track. He graduated in 2016 with a degree in political science and minors in leadership studies and history. He earned his Master’s from Liberty University in Public Policy and International Affairs.

Bruce and his wife Tracy are Richmond natives and currently live there with their dog, Baxter. Bruce is a huge Philadelphia sports fan, particularly the 11-1 Super Bowl-bound Philadelphia Eagles.
