Intern Spotlight: Jonathan Riddick!

This summer, we are excited to have five interns working with us in policy, law, grassroots, and intercessory prayer. Since their start date on June 1st, they have already contributed valuable work that advances the mission of The Family Foundation. In addition to their normal responsibilities, they also participate in our weekly EQUIP Worldview Program for high school seniors and college-age students. Today, we’d like you to meet Jonathan!

The Family Foundation is delighted to have Jonathan Riddick join the team as a grassroots and policy intern. Jonathan begins every day by walking to Starbucks where he usually gets an iced coffee. That routine probably contributes to the tremendous energy he brings to the office every day.

Jonathan was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia. The farthest he has moved was when he changed bedrooms in his home. Jonathan attended Hickory High where he ran track and cross country and was involved in student government. Currently, Jonathan is a sophomore at Liberty University majoring in Government: Politics and Policy.

Jonathan spent last summer on a missions trip to South Africa. He wanted to intern with The Family Foundation this summer to help determine the extent to which he wants to pursue politics with his career.

In his free time, Jonathan enjoys line dancing, watching Christmas movies, and keeping up with the news. Though he doesn’t watch much television, Jonathan faithfully watches Survivor with his dad. Jonathan enjoys talking with people and generally has no problem stating what he thinks, especially when he is thinking about food (which is quite frequently). He enjoys trying different restaurants around Richmond and his favorite food is French fries.

Jonathan’s favorite Scripture is Psalm 20:7, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”
