Roger Pogge, Ministry Relations Coordinator
Roger’s first interaction with The Family Foundation (TFF) was at a meeting in Richmond in the mid 90s where he met TFF founder Walt Barbee. He signed up and began receiving updates from Walt’s “Fax Alert Network.” He organized a Culture Impact Team in his church and soon built a network of churches and pastors on the Virginia Peninsula who took TFF Report Cards and Voter Guides. In 2006 he left his career at Newport News Shipbuilding and was hired by TFF Action to manage the Marriage Amendment campaign. The amendment defined marriage in the Virginia constitution as the union of a man and a woman and passed with over 57% of the vote. He subsequently joined TFF to manage several Winning Matters campaigns and then assumed the position of Director of Grassroots. In his current role, he serves in a “semi-retirement,” part-time position as Ministry Outreach Coordinator.
His partner of forty-seven years, Brenda Pogge served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2008 until 2020. They have five children and eleven grandchildren who are spread from Gainesville, Florida to the Northwest Territory of Canada.
